Accountable Care Organizations are all the rage, but do they offer any solutions for physicians? This program will analyze the ACO governance, structural, compensation and legal components from a physicians perspective and give some possible options for physicians to confront and benefit from them.
- The program will provide an overview of the latest regulations and guidance regarding ACO participation in the Medicare Shared Savings program and how the recent changes have or are expected to impact physician participation.
- The speakers will discuss how the ACO beneficiary assignment process will impact physicians, as well as the factors that could impact physician reimbursement, including ways to minimize possible financial risk for participating physicians.
- The program will also discuss the factors that physicians should take into account when determining whether to align themselves with a specific ACO, including the different perspectives of primary care physicians vs. specialists.
